A Co-operative Housing Community in East Vancouver

THE BUILDINGS

There are four buildings that make up access co-op. Three of them share a block between 7th & 8th and Renfrew and Kaslo. The fourth is right next to Frog Hollow on 5th Avenue.

THE UNITS

Access is made up of fifty-two units. We have bachelors, one, two, three, and four bedroom townhouses to accommodate people and families of all sizes.

FRIENDLY FACES

The people who live at Access always greet you with a smile and are genuinely interested in the well-being of the people they live around.

BEAUTIFUL GARDENS

A lot of our members really take pride in making their gardens their own. We have some common gardens and some suites even have their own little patches.

SAFE PLAY AREAS

With the nostalgic wooden playground in the main outdoor common area on 7th, the paths that lead around the co-op or Kaslo park across the street, there’s always something fun for the kids to do.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE

Access’ founding members made a point to ensure that Access was for everybody. As such, when it was built in 1979, every unit and part of the co-op was wheelchair accessible.

CLOSE TO TRANSPORTATION

Broadway’s B-Line stops just a block from our address and the Renfrew Skytrain station is three more blocks down the hill. No matter where you’re going, it’s a short trip to transportation.

STRONG COMMUNITY

The people that live at Access truly make it what it is. Neighbours are constantly standing outside catching up on each others’ lives and sharing jokes. Helping each other out is what we’re all about!

LIVING AT ACCESS CO-OP

WHY CHOOSE CO-OP HOUSING?

Co-op housing is an affordable alternative to rental housing – but it is also so much more. It is being involved and invested in the decisions that are made about managing the buildings and maintaining a community. It is choosing to live in an inclusive environment where everyone is encouraged to participate and engage.
